Mobile Standards
Having worked in the mobile standards world for over six years, I
feel that I have learned a lot about how these organizations work. And
don't work. My introduction to these standards was through the creation
of SyncML, now a part of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA). I have also
worked with the 3GPP, IrDA, WAP Forum and the OMA in getting SyncML adopted
as the mobile data synchronization standard.
I am currently employed by Qualcomm, representing them in the Standards realms.
I am the OMA DM Chair on a full-time basis. It is rather satisfying to continue
working on the SyncML standard.
[As part of the learning curve with the standards, I have jointly written
a book on SyncML. This book might be found on
Amazon. It is also possible that the book is now out of print.
For more information on my work history, please check out my
resume .
I am no longer available for short-term or long-term contracts.
I will briefly help companies out as long as it will not interfere
with my work at Qualcomm, though.
